Pimples

Pimples or acne have always been there to 'plague' mankind. An individual could have it once a month, occasionally, rarely, or suffer it for most of his life. Whichever the case, acne is normal.

Why acne develops

There are a lot of reasons why a person could have acne. One of the many reasons is hormones. This is the most common causes why acne is mostly seen and suffered in the teenage years. It is in this particular age and stage where an individual will have certain body developments all because of hormonal level changes. As a result, there are some hormones which, when in high levels or low levels, could cause acne to develop.

Another reason why acne develops is certain disease conditions. Problems that involve certain glands such as the thyroid can lead to hormonal imbalances leading to acne development. A third reason why pimples develop is inadequate or improper skin care. As the dead skin cells, dust, dirt, skin oil, and other impurities build up, they clog up the pores. As a result, these are trapped within the pores and develop into a pimple.

Getting rid of pimples

Everybody knows just how unsightly acne can be. While they may not be exactly life threatening, when not treated, these can give heavy blows to one's self esteem which will lead certain consequences such as decreased confidence and low work output. This is why necessary pimple cure should be sought.

The most effective way of treating acne is to target its cause. If it is caused by hormonal imbalance, then correction of the causative hormone can help get rid of acne. If it is caused by bacteria, antibiotics can be applied to it. If a certain disease is causing it, then treatment of the disease should do the trick. As it is, there are a lot of ways in one can remove pimples. The most important thing to remember is to have it treated by a licensed dermatologist to prevent it from worsening.

Preventing pimples from occurring

Perhaps the best way to treat acne is to stop them way before they even occur. This is done by taking proper care of the skin such as washing it with gentle or mild facial soap. Eating healthy food and exercising regularly is another way to prevent pimples from even occurring. Avoiding the use of cosmetics that contain ingredients that have been known to cause one to have allergies is another step towards stopping acne.
